First 25 hr oil change on 2021 G23

I just completed the 25 hr oil change on my G23 ZZ6 engine. I have 3 questions.
    1) I removed 6.2 liters of oil plus that in the filter so I replaced the same amount. The cable dip stick is impossible to read because the tip with the readout gets completely oily when inserting it. Any suggestions? What is the typical oil capacity of this engine?
    2) I replaced the oil filter with an OEM PCM filter and oiled the gasket but I’m experiencing a leak where the gasket meets the engine. Never had this happen and the filter is tight.
    3) Prior to the oil change I really did not notice my oil pressure but I’m running about 65 psi when warm at 3000 rpm. Higher at first when cold. Is this normal. Drops to about 45 rpm at idle.

    All input is appreciated.

If your filter is leaking you should replace it with a new one. Don't forget to lube the seal and threads of the new filter. You don't need to prefill the filter. With the engine cold, remove the filter, inspect the gasket for a tear or fold. This is the most likely cause of your leak. During installation I completely wipe the filter mounting point and threads as well as the filter itself after installation to make sure there are no drips that could be mistaken for a leak. 65 psi is about right for a new oil change. 45 psi at idle is good too. Keep in mind that oil will expand and you will measure roughly .5 qt more when warm compared to cold.

Check to make sure the original rubber gasket came off with the original filter.

Thanks All. I did put on a new filter this morning and I’ll monitor the oil level when cold.

Are the oil filter's easier to get to on the new engines? My old xr550 was a pain to access. Should be getting my 2021 G23(ZZ8) any day now is at the dealer being prepped..

Oil, transmission and v drive all very easy to change. Also the fuel filters are easy. You will love the new G23. I suggest you view this video someone else did a while back and purchase the suggested parts. The oil is suctioned out throat from the factor installed hose connected to the drain plug. The hose is hooked onto the driver side engine lift loop with a shower curtain clip. My boat appears to use about 6.7 quarts of oil but it is a ZZ6.

That is much easier access, I have a eclectic oil pump to extract the oil works very well. I use the K&N filter, I like them because of the 1/2 socket you can use to remove and put on. On my xr550 I used the same one that matched the GM 6.2 supercharged engine.
Will be using this one for the new ride.

Also noticed the zz8 takes 0w-40 and the zz6 is 5w-30.

Wow that ZZ8 will really move your boat I’m sure.
