    2006 226TE ballast not empty

So I’ve read a ton on here. Thanks to everyone and their knowledge. I have a new to me last year 2006 226TE. I have set it up for surfing. Removed all hard tanks. Wakemakers custom made 700lbs in each rear side, 625lb in the center locker, 500lbs under the front bow seats, and 500lbs of wake ballast lead bags to move around. No issues till this summer with my port side pump. Fills perfectly, but won’t drain. The button flashes saying it’s in drain mode, but won’t work. Can disconnect the wire and switch with the starboard or belly and it reverses just fine. Any suggestions? Is it the switch? I can’t find any cuts in the wires. Was thinking about making a splitter and running both port and starboard off the same switch since we evenly ballast the rear. Will that work? Or overload the switch

    thanks

If I'm reading correctly, the pump works if you hook it to a different switch but not the original switch (so the pump itself appears good). Do you have a volt meter? You could verify that you're not getting power at the pump, and if not, check for power at the switch. That would tell you if the problem is the the wiring between the switch and pump.

Yes pump fills with its own switch. But won’t empty with its switch. I can empty using the switch from the starboard or port switch if I swap the wiring. Then the pump will empty. The pump and switch is fine on the fill mode, and pump is fine in reverse. Just not the switch

Interesting. It's almost got to be the switch, then.

Anybody know how to take it apart. It’s the whole unit.
