Linc 2.0 software update help. Sitting in the boat!

Put in new ballast sensors, v1s were bad. Dealership sent me update for the Linc, have it on a fat32 formatted drive.

I don't have the instructions of what to do to get the Linc updated. Went through all the system setting, including dealer settings, can't find anything that allows me to update.

Anybody help?

I have no idea if you have same linc i did. i had 2014 g21...process may be similar...but below did work for me....


The most important part of the process is to make sure that the batteries are fully charged. Loss of power during the update WILL cause the Linc Display to lock up and it will not allow for anything on the boat to function-head units then have to be sent into Nautique to be reflashed.

The 2014 displays are notorious for not booting into the update mode; following these instructions correctly may still require the head unit to be sent into Nautique!

The files will have to be put onto a flash drive.

Make sure that the file name does NOT change (including the .pvi portion at the end of the name) and it is not in any sort of folder.

Insert the flash drive into the Linc service USB slot-located in the glovebox next to the steering wheel.

Hold the home key-Start up Linc display, the display should boot into a different screen. Continue holding the home key until it says booting in the upper left hand corner of the display.

Select the full update first, the file begins with full-update. Once the update starts, DO NOT TURN OFF POWER, DO NOT RETURN TO HOME, DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING. The screen may turn black, turn rainbow colors or some other funny things. DO NOT PANIC, DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING UNTIL YOU GET A LARGE GREEN CHECKMARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN AND THE DISPLAY WILL RESTART.

Repeat the process for the second file.

After performing both updates, you will have to go into the dealer settings in the display to select all of the options in your boat. Password for accessing the screen in 9191.
