2016 SAN 210 wake plate Hyrdo Gate friction.

Any one know how one is to adjust the friction on the wake/hydro gate plate? If I put it up to Surf (forward), over about 10 seconds (while driving) it will slide back into the wake position.

Do you tighten the front or the rear lock nuts on the pivot (plate connected to push rod at top and wake plate at bottom)? Do you tighten the forward lock nuts (connecting previously described pivot plate with the actual wake plate)?

Is there a friction adjustment somewhere else?

    Thanks for the help!

I think you may have to adjust at the handle in the helm.

Have you tried to use it in the “back” position? I tried both positions awith my surf wave and it makes the wave bigger when it’s in the rear postion, when its in the forward positon the wave isnt as big, but its longer.

FoodClub Curious if you ever got this figured out? Mine will stay put either all the way forward our all the way back, but if I try to keep it somewhere in the middle, it usually ends up moving. Thanks!

I slightly tightened the pivot screw to increase friction, or it was the screw in the slot. Only took a little bit, like 1/16th of a turn. Just study it and you will figure out which screw. Had a nylock nut that I think was about 3/8".
