Anyone else have the same issue on a 2020+ G23 Paragon? I recently purchased a used 2020 G23 Paragon. At delivery an error message displayed on the left screen, “Check Display to Display Cable”. The left hand screen did not display depth, outside temp, water temp or accurately sync speed limit. When you start the boat - sometimes the error goes away - but when you drive in choppy water it triggers the error and it persists for some time. It can go away and come back. Very annoying!
The dealer mechanic opened up the compartment below the displays and zip tied the right hand end of the cable in the connector. He couldn’t get to the left hand side without a multi-hour removal of part of the dash. It looked like it corrected the issue but once you go out in choppy water the error comes back up.
I am taking the boat back to the dealer tomorrow for them to hopefully get it fixed, but I don’t have a ton of confidence in the thoroughness of their approach. Boat only has 60 hours on it.
I am hoping someone else has had this issue and knows precisely how to resolve so I can give this feedback to the dealer. To me, this feels like a cable receptacle issue - one end of the cable is not staying seated in the port. I have a hard time believing the solution is to zip tie it to the port. It could be the cable but doesn’t make sense to me - cables are pretty simple - the movement triggering the issue feels like a port issue. A bigger issue could be wiring in the receptacle on one of the ends that is loose.
I would appreciate any guidance so I can hopefully ensure the problem is resolved the next time.
Picture attached as well!
