A few weeks ago, I was looking for where the fuel pre-filter on my 2007 216 Team (with factory ballast in the ski locker) was, and one YouTube video had me looking for a fuel tank hose near the fuel tank. ( Side Note: PCM changed the pre-filter location mid-2007. I had the older style "sock" filter near the FCC. )
I managed to get the black plastic near the lifting ring removed, and noticed there was a grease fitting (presumably for the rudder cable) behind the black plastic. As the boat is 14 years old, I figured it wouldn't hurt to add some additional grease (despite the boat driving like a sports car), but from other grease jobs, excess grease generally appears somewhere else & needs to be wiped up.
Has anyone removed the ski locker floor boards on a 216 Team with factory ballast below? While I was able to lift them up ~6" after removing the black plastic near the lifting ring, I wasn't able to remove the boards. Any advice on how to solve the jigsaw puzzle of removing these boards?
