    Charging voltage?

Had to jump the boat unexpectedly when departing the tie up today. Noted the charging voltage was 14.0 volts or less when driving the boat in on plane and closer to 12.0- 12.5 volts when driving at idle. In my auto experience anything less than 14.4 volts means the alternator is going out. Any opinions? 2014 210 with 5.7.

I see the same voltages, and have for a while, so I am not sure that would indicate a failing alternator

Could be a failing vreg. But i usually run 14.1V while surfing. Depends on how much load your taking on with accessory circuits and stereo. Lots of factors for that. I sit at like 13.7 at idle.

You mention you had to jump the boat when leaving tie up... Maybe any length of time could have ran batteries down some and at idle with other draws, maybe the alternator/boat was struggling for a short time to recharge? Also, a loose/worn belt can cause that... Just my .02

I am trying to determine if I may have left the blower on. We did not play the stereo. I am not sure.
