I have a 2009 sante 210 and the belly ballast is not filling or emptying. I’ve checked the voltage at the pump and it’s good, verified the shaft and impeller is spinning, replaced the impeller and seal, manually filled the tank with a with my garden hose to see if it would drain and nothing, put the hose that goes to the tank to one of the other pumps to drain and it still didn’t work. I have a sac on top of the hard tank and both still have the same amount of water in them and it’s been over a week now and no water has drained out. Which leads me to believe that there’s no hole in the hose or tank/sac. I’m totally stumped here. Only thing I haven’t checked was physically taking the fuel tank out to inspect the hose to the ballast tank. Any ideas?

Sounds like a bad pump. Pumps are weird. Neighbor had a similar issue on his MC. Turns out the pump passed all tests , but then when it got under load of the water pressure when actually trying to push it the pump would not move it. Replace pump problem solved. -
I have heard the same thing as swat guy. If it's an original pump then it's probably seen it's last.. I had a 2009 230, and replaced all the pumps at about 700 hours... My 2008 230 now, I replaced them (bought the boat used) not long after I bought it.. Tow of the pumps were weak (with new impellers) and I found a deal on 3, so I swapped them all out... The only other thing is be sure the hoses didn't get reversed (in and out). I know it sounds simple, but it's happened.Comment

So I’ve come to the conclusion that the pump is in fact bad. You guys were correct. In my testing I was trying to do so out of the water and realized that there was no water in the lines to create any sort of suction. So I took the hose to the ballast to a working pump and took the other hose off and used a garden hose to prime the prime while the pump was spinning and started emptying the ballast. I’ve been wanting to upgrade the pumps anyways. Might as well go with some ho flo pumps. Thanks for the help guys.Comment

Not a problem. Glad you were able to get it done. I’ve seen and read that scenario of pumps testing find out of loss to know the actions of the pump speak for themselves.
