PCM ZR6 : failing oil sending unit / switch can cause engine won't start ?

    Hi guys

I was wondering if a defect in the oil pressure sending unit or oii switch cause the ignition to fail and prevent the engine from starting ? I've a PCM ZR6 390 on a SAN 230 2008.

On the GM trucks the oil sender also feeds the fuel pump . So no oil pressure no fuel pump no start.

well, that would explain why the engine doesn't start and there's no smell of gas even after several attempts to start (I already tested the FCC, no problem)
