Last weekend I had this “High Water” warning message pop up on my screen as soon as dropped it into the water from our hoist (this is a pic from a 2021 210 with the same false warning). My bilge pump never fired so I immediately pulled the cover to check the bilge and it was bone dry by the the T-handle. I had never seen that message before and it never appeared since. I figured it was a bad sensor, but I am hearing that a bunch of other 2020 and 2021 owners seem to be getting the same message with no actual water in the hull. Have you guys seen similar false warnings like this or am I the only one??

Have you updated your LINC software recently? I believe this message was added to a recent build. The sensor float could have been stuck in the up position and now the display message is active.

Interesting to hear what the dealer says. I did a Linc software update last Aug. What's interesting is that I didn't see the error until this boating season. My understanding of how the bilge pumps work is that they pulse on every 2 or 3 minutes for a few seconds. If the pumps sense water, because the rpm slows down caused by water, then the pumps continue to run until the rpm increases. The pumps don't sense water in any manner other than a rpm slowdown when water is present.

I just got off the phone with our Dealer (Water Craft Sales in Three lakes, WI), and the service advisor told me that this is a known bug in the latest LINC software update (among a few other know issues!). We had our software updated over the winter, which unfortunately rendered our stereo inoperable (I started a thread on that), so they had to update the software again this Spring after we picked up the boat. Since that software update everything had been fine until now, but the service advisor did tell me that they are getting a LOT of folks who are seeing this same message.
So this appears to be a known issue and they are updating everyone's software to address it. I'm not currently at the lake so I can't check the software version on my 2020 GS22, but I assume that all of us who are seeing this faulty warning are on the same software version.Last edited by North Woody; 07-20-2021, 10:02 AM.
