I was wondering if anyone is familiar with about how many labor hours and the approximate total cost to replace a cracked long block gt40 with a new one not including parts? Just looking for a general idea to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Thanks

If I have to do it again I think I could do it in 10h.

I needed a new engine Super Sport (I didn't winterize soon enough), and found a local engine builder that specializes in fords, Creb Engineering. He sells a lot on ebay, so you can search items there. It says $200 shipping, but I don't know if that is US nationwide or not, as I picked mine up.
I think I was at about $3K for a roller block, stock iron crank, which was fine since I was only looking to get stock levels of horsepower. I paid a little more for him to do any work the heads needed (I think it was just seals) and mount them. Looking now, I see prices are higher, with a non-race prepped short blocks up to $3600.Comment
