Belly Ballast Sensor Location?

I have a 2020 GS22. The belly ballast is not filling (although is says it is on the screen) when the other to bags are filling. Having done a bit of research, I believe the issue to be with the sensor. I am taking the boat out this week and was going to try and disconnect the sensor so that I can fill the bag as needed. I've looked in several places for the sensor but can not locate it. Does anyone have an idea where the sensor is located, and what the easiest access to it is? Any help would be appreciated.

Why do you think it’s the sensor? Is the pump turning on and the valve opening?

Because once I begin to fill the 3 ballasts, the belly begins to purge all water being pulled into the ballast. My surf wave in very short in length and lacks a pocket that is normally present on my boat.

Definitely sounds like a faulty ballast sensor which is a common problem on these boats. They are PITA to change. Your boat is under warranty therefore get your dealer to change . While at dealer I would get him to change all three ballast sensors and not just the one that is faulty.

Purge as in come out of the front right like a hose has been turned on, not just a little. The volume makes me believe that all water being pulled in is being immediately purged. I also checked the diagnostics and it read 4.995V (in red) for the Belly Ballast Sender, whereas the Port and SB read 0.884V and 0.732V respectively.

Purge as in come out of the front right like a hose has been turned on, not just a little. The volume makes me believe that all water being pulled in is being immediately purged. I also checked the diagnostics and it read 4.995V (in red) for the Belly Ballast Sender, whereas the Port and SB read 0.884V and 0.732V respectively.

Interesting, I guess the ballast system works differently then on previous year boats. The GS can bypass the ballast bag and purge right from the pump out the over flow on the side of the boat?

So I just had a lesson in how the system works by taking out the rear bag in my 2017 GS22. After the pump there is a T fitting. One hose to the bag and one hose goes up to vent. As far as I can tell there is no vent line on the bag. It must just feed the bag preferentially and then when full it goes out the overflow. This is not how I assumed it would work but it's what I found. It could be that your bag is either not draining so already full or something could be blocking the fill line so it is just going out the other side of the T. Again this is how the REAR bag in my boat is setup so I don't know if it's the same but just want to throw it out there. I was about to say this. If your overflow is kicking in right away your bag is already full. Not sure how my boat is plumbed compared to a GS but this doesn’t sound like a sensor issue. The sensors work in concert with timers. So a sensor failure usually means your over filling your bags and not fully draining them. At least that’s what happened on my boat this year when a rear sensor failed.
