I would like to know where to start in getting the speedo's working again. What kind of speedo's are these? I had to remove he tachometer and order of new one because the face was all rusted. I hope this didn't have any thing to do with the speedos not working. Thanks.

Carefully remove the rubber tubes from the speedometer. Use compressed air to blow backwards to clean out the line through the pitot. Then reattach and check. Do NOT blow compressed air into the speedo.
This will clear the line and pitot. A line clog is most likely the culprit.
the speedo uses water pressure to determine speed. If the line is clogged, the speedo won’t work.

Those pitot's are long out of production and the replacements won't match the holes in your boat. You will pay dearly for a NOS or good used one. I would go to a hobby shop maybe a Hobby Lobby or Michaels or a real hobby shop, many who have a K&S display of brass tubing. Get a piece that fits the hose, carefully drill by hand the old pitot and epoxy that into it to create a new hose connection. I realize you said it was hanging by a thread but on your other side you didn't back off the "nut" . It has "threads" inside just like a regular nut and goes on and off just like a regular nut- righty tighty lefty looseyLast edited by gary s; 07-22-2021, 05:51 PM.

Have your existing ones converted to GPS. I have done this, and it is great. They look original because they are, but the internals use GPS instead of outdated pitot tubes.

Do I have to take the speedo out of the dash? Do I just blow compressed air into the pitot that the rubber tube came off of. Or do I blow compressed air into the rubber hose that came off the pitot? I believe that this would blow up into the back of the speedo like you said not to do. Do I have to take the speedo's out of the dash? Thanks.

Take the hose off the speedo. Blow compressed air into the hose. Have a helper listen to the pickup at the transom and make sure air is coming out. Do NOT blow air into the speedo.
