Check engine light

2002 super air… check engine light starts to flicker and then once it stays lit it goes into a limp mode I’m guessing. Any suggestions on what’s going on or what is making the light come on? Thanks

Makes It easy, the gt40 has
A temp and a oil sensor feeding the gauges and a high temp switch and a low oil pressure switch.
The 2 switches control the check engine light and limp.
Disconnect them one by one to see if it's to see if its low oil pressure or high temp.
I assume the gauges show correct readings.
The oil pressure switch is close to the high pressure fuel pump it's the smaller one.
The high temp switch is on top close to the thermostat I believe it's a green cable.
Both switches switch to ground to trigger the cel.

Manual says black and tan but I think there are 2 different colors depending on year either way that will get you where you need to go.
