    Hinged swim platform/grid?

    Folks,
I need some help just wondering has anyone ever hinged their swim platform/grid? The association
i belong to at our lake has a old bylaw of 21ft maximum length for boats at the dock. I am looking at
my dream boat a 206 and don’t want to deviate from it so I need to figure out if I can hinge up the platform while parked?? Love to hear some
    feedback/knowledge
    thanks

Strongly considered having some hinging brackets fabbed up for a very similar issue. Ended up shortening the platform as a temporary (unpleasant) measure that ended up being not so temporary. The brackets have since been beat to **** while moored however, so am now reconsidering my options. Also interested to hear what others may have done in this space before I re-invent the wheel...

      Thanks for the info:
were the brackets beat up more cause the platform was smaller and they were exposed or just didn’t have the protection of the platform?? I have found an aluminum boat builder who says he will fab up a new slightly smaller platform with hinged so I can make length but i would prefer keeping stock platform… we will see what happens here

Just an observation, I don't think manufacturers include the length 'with' platform in the length. May be a way to get a technicality with your association?
