Knock Sensor / Drain Plug Question

I am replacing all of my drain plugs in my 06 206 with ball valves and fittings for quick draining of my engine (330 HP) without the use of wrenches.

Can the Knock Sensor be mounted to a brass T fitting into the block with the ball valve tied into the down side of the T fitting?

This would eliminate removing the Knock Sensor to drain this side of the block.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I do not know for sure, but the sensor detects vibration, and the computer uses that info to control the motor. I would not do it. PCM does not even want any thread sealer to be used on the sensor. The sensor is not to be torqued very tight, either.

The knock sensor is very sensitive. If just putting teflon tape on it to help seal it causes it to malfunction just think what moving it to a more vibratory location will do. I would not move it or insulate it with teflon tape.

PCM does not recommend doing that as the brass will deaden the sound the knock sensor hears and it could cause damage to the motor.
