    Belt Issues on GS22

We got a new 2021 GS22 earlier this season. After about 8 hours the belt started squeaking when first starting at low speeds. Once the engine warmed up the noise disappeared.
But this was super annoying and Nautique refuses to address this under warranty as they claim it is a wear and tear issue (despite only having 8 hours on the boat). Dealer finally replaced the belt at 35 hours and the noise went away for a while. After putting another 10 hours on the boat the noise is back!!! Anyone else having similar issues.

Sorry to hear that. FWIW, we've got 120 hours on our 2020 GS22 with no belt issues/engine noises of any sort. Other than a failed NSS actuator and a necessary software update to fix an audio issue, this boat has been pretty much bullet proof!

I have a 2021 GS22 and have recently noted the same issue - 36 hours of use so far. I first noticed it after 10 hours and it always appears on start up and then goes away once things have warmed up (after about 15 mins).

I haven't taken it into the dealer yet, but am planning on, as its the type of noise that a brand new premium boat should not have this early in its life.

We had a similar issue with our 210 when there was water in the bilge it was getting in the belt. It would chirp for a bit and then go away. We make sure to pull the plug now after use.

There must be water getting to the belt. It might be from too much water in the bilge or it could be coming in from above. Make sure your rear bilge is working properly. It may be clogged or dead. And then you will have to start searching for leaks coming from above. The rear compartment and engine hatch doors may need to be adjusted tighter so water doesn't get in through there. Or the drainage fittings and hoses may be leaking water onto the belt.

I’ve noticed some slight belt noise, or bearing noise, on my 2020 200. Always shortly after start up and up on plane at an easy cruise. It never lasts long. I’ve heard it four or five times. My wife even commented on it yesterday.
Definitely no water in the bilge getting on the belt.
I’ll be interested to hear if anyone comes up with a firm cause and fix.
                  18 hours on my boat.

Have same boat and had a similar issue loose bolts on the 4 bolts on the heat exchanger there was a drip when cold putting anti freeze on the belt, snugged up the bolts removed and washed the belt in dish detergent and cleaned the pulleys squeak is gone. The leak was very slight and never noticed the anti freeze level dropping

had the same issue on my GS 22. They swapped the belt twice to get rid of the noise and they also said it could have been coming from the water pump. Not sure if that was it or not but it was fixed 20 or so hours ago and the noise hasnt come back. We are almost at 100 hours.
