    Black Linc touchscreen SN2019

    Hi all,

I hope anyone have some input on our problem for the next step. Our Linc touch display on a SN2019 is not booting, it is just black. The blue led-indicator for the "Accesory circuit" is blinking. We tested the voltage at the breaker panel and there we had voltage. But at a fuse under the steering wheel that is connected to the screen we measured no voltage. What could there be in-between that we should look for? We have noticed that there is two power distributor modules. Any idea where to look/test to locate the error?

The blinking light means PDM’s under the dash are in protection mode. Start unplugging things until it’ll boot. I had the same thing happen to me this year. Ended up being a shorted ballast sensor. Try all the accessories like amps, gps puck etc. One at a time. Only difference is my screen would flash then go dead.

We now found the problem. It was a shorted Depth/Temp sensor that caused the problem. It is a big unfortunate that everything is on the same pin from the PDM which makes troubleshooting difficult. They could separated things on different pins more on the PDM or put fuses to the different things. Would have saved many hours...

      Thanks for the help nohlan_4!

Where was it shorted? Down at the transducer or up behind the dash? Any chance you took some photos?

It was down at the transducer. We simply disconnected it and will exchange it when we take up the boat for the season. At the PDM it is really difficult to know which cable goes where. It would be good with wiring diagrams... No photos right now, any special interest?

Yea if you can get a photo of the shorted wire it would help the rest of us should we run into the same problem.
