    Centek 1601139 muffler

    My 2001 SN has the rattling muffler issue. Seeking to know if anyone has repaired theirs, or if they always pay the +$700 for a new one.

      Many have successfully repaired their Centek muffler. A little fiberglass and epoxy resin and some creative grinding and you should be good to go. On the CorrectCraftFan.com site, there are several threads about Centek muffler repairs. Happy reading.

          I repaired mine, cut the top off with a dremal, 45 degree angle. Think Jack o lantern top. Fiberglassed all the loose pieces back together.
          BTW The loose pieces were blocking the output pipe, we were experiencing major lack of power, replaced a bunch of electrical and fuel system components before I read where someone had power loss and it was their muffler.
