Fuel injection for Barefoot Nautique 454?

Anyone have any experience with the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI (MPI) system on the 454 in the Barefoot Nautique (or 454 in any boat?) Considering it vs the Holley Sniper throttle body.

FYI - I know the plusses and minuses of carbureted vs the different EFI options. Just wondering if anyone specifically about those two EFI add ons...or any others you might recommend (and why).

    I use a megasquirt ms3x on a 351 gt40, I would go with the MFI makes a big difference.

For my lizard-brain, the question is why? Is the BB Chevy not strong enough for you that you feel the need for more power? Or is this for cold start / drivability? Also, there are not many USCG "approved" after-market fuel injections that are marine-specific. Not that I'm a rule follower in the strict sense, but fuel systems in a boat should be treated with the utmost respect. If you've ever seen a boat burn to the water-line due to a bad fuel system, you'll understand why I asked the question.

Jonny Quest, to answer you question no, a 454 isn't strong enough or fast enough.
As for your other comment, what makes a USCG fuel injection system.
You have a 01 196,it most likely has a GT40. What part of the system is USCG approved?
ECM came out of a Ford Astro van, injectors, distributor, coil, spark, controller all have Motorcraft part numbers.
Fuel pumps, and fuel lines are all that are USCG
Merlin and I are friends, the reasons to put this EFI system on his boat is at my suggestion.
#1 reason for me is cost, He already needs a carb, and distributor, EFI doesn't work super good with a duel plane intake, so distributor, carb, intake, and your close to the cost of the Edelbrock system.
The Edelbrock is a sequential injection, smoother performance and better fuel economy.
I will be using a PCM fuel cell for the fuel pumps. All USCG approved.
Merlin just wants to know if anybody has tried it so we can see how they like it and any tricks to make it easier to install.
The only thing worse than seeing a boat burn to the waterline is having a customers boat burn to the waterline.
