    Manifold/Exhaust Hose

Own a 1986 Ski Nautique 2001. Exhaust/Manifold Hose is collapsed on left side. After removing the hose clamp, I could not budge the hose. Any suggestions/tips on how to remove that hose. Engine is a Ford 351 Windsor. Also, I see 3” and 3.5” hose for sale on nautique parts. Does anyone know the diameter of those hoses on the 1986? If I could get it if I could measure inside diameter. Thanks in advance for any help.

If those are original hoses, they are super hard to get off, yeah. You can just cut it with a utility knife, since it's collapsed anyway. Several flathead screwdrivers working your way around the hose could help as well.

Do you know why it collapsed? Did it overheat? That's something to think about. Although if it is original, it's not hard to imagine it overheating at SOME point in the past, so you might not have any issue just replacing it.

Also, it should be 3" but you can confirm once you get it off.

Wire re-inforced hose. Careful sawzall use might be in order. You can also dowse the stuck area with rubbing alcohol to help loosen.

For hose size, just call them...they'll know.
