I'm new to the forum. I'm going to potentially replace the engine hatch on my 2008 SAN 210 to a custom walkthrough as the vinyl has torn on it. (I like what was done here on the following posting for a custom walkthrough: LINK, but am also considering changing the setup of the latch.) And I'm looking into whether what ideas are out there to reconfigure the center latch for the engine hatch to be something that is recessed below the panel and allow for the panel to be completely flat for applying Seadek or GatorStep. Has anyone done something like this and have any recommendations of different latches to use instead that mount below the panel to allow for a flat panel above that doesn't show the latch?
