Thanks in advance for the help, my 2013 SAN 230 is leaking a lot from the prop shaft. Any advice? I can barely even get to it so advice on getting to it and steps to potentially repair or repack. Picture and video of leak attached. Thanks! - Erik

Your set-up is using the "dripless" shaft seal. Clearly, it's no longer "dripless". The dripless design is not a perfect solution and they can be easily damaged. So, what are you to do? As challenging as it sounds, you will have to remove the dripless seal and inspect for damage. A new / replacement unit may be in your future. Probably NOT the advice you were hoping to hear...

Good question. The older I get the less I'm willing to do when it comes to repairs that require a contortionist to perform. vDrives are difficult to work on when it comes to anything to do with drive train and that prop shaft seal is probably the mother of all examples. The job itself is fairly straight forward however getting to it just doesn't make the cut for me to do this job any longer. Our season is over up here and I would suspect losing a weekend or two even in TX wouldn't be untold hardship this time of year. If it were mine I would already be at the dealership with the boat.
