2019 G25 with H6 motor.
Strong gas smell in engine compartment sent me back to the dock on Saturday. Did a fairly thorough inspection of all the fuel lines, filters, and pumps, and no obvious leak. Strongest smell seems to be coming from the area where the fuel line from the FCC goes to the fuel rail, but I cannot see any fuel leaking/dripping nor is that area visible since behind the exhaust riser. Before I take it into the shop (or start dismantling stuff), any insights on how to troubleshoot a gas leak, and if the connection to fuel rail is a viable culprit?
On a possibly related note, the boat is also taking several seconds to start, whereas it usually fires up immediately. Got me suspecting an issue with the low-pressure fuel pump? Could that possibly play into the gas smell as well?
Thanks!!!
