Check the strainer it can get clogged with debris or algae and constrict water flow.

I mentioned this because a few months ago I was getting abnormally high engine temps and noticed the strainer was full of green oatmeal like alge. Perhaps it could be a similarly simple fix. All the best!

How new is the impeller? I had a defective one years ago. 10 hours after install the engine went above desired temp. For laughs I checked the impeller and it was toast.

What year is this G? Could be the thermostat in the t fitting that splits to each manifold isn't opening properly. I'd check that, happened to me on my 2013.

Yes, above could be clogged. Here is some info about. See below and attachment.

The thermostat housing should then be inspected for debris every 50 hours or once a year. If the boat is operating in water with high levels of particales, grass, etc., this service should be done more frequent.

Example of over engineering in my humble opinion.

If it has the H6 non-coastal, it won't have that thermostat. I've had that code pop up on my 2017 G23 several times. So much so that I unscrewed the sensor from the manifold a bit so it would quit going off.

I tried everything, flushed all the lines, replaced the impeller, the thermostat, heck I even pulled the manifolds off and flushed them. I removed the catalytic converters and still had the same problem. We run in 90 degree water here and they just get hot sometimes. Once the H6 motor really breaks in - like 300-400 hours, it runs a lot better, but it sure does heat up too. I just think those manifolds are undersized for the LT1 motor.
