What Garmin watch to get & any programing / user tricks

We have a 2022 G23 on its way replacing a 2018 G23. The Pebble watch for the 2018 G23 was perfect for our needs and we are trying to accomplish something similar for the '22. On the '18 we kept the pebble in the glove box and only used the watch when we went surfing. The only app on the watch was the Nautique app and made life supper easy. We are trying to accomplish the same thing with a Garmin watch.
    • What is the simplest Garmin to use strictly for Nautique app while behind the boat? (price is not a concern)
    • Are we able to clear out most of the features / apps from the Garmin?
    • Are we able to keep the Garmin in the glove box and take it out on weekends and use it just like the pebble?
    • What else do I need to know about the Garmin?
The end goal is to find the gamin with the easiest display to read while surfing and a way to dumb it down to make it as idiot-proof as possible.

Your assistance and knowledge is greatly appreciated

I have the Fenix 6 Solar and find it pretty easy to use. Was buying for the exact same reason you are but find myself using it everyday for working out, golf
Snowboarding etc…. The “ Garmin Solar” seems to extend time of use unlike an Apple, where you need to charge everyday. I charge mine with everyday wear about every 10 days or so. You only load the apps you want on the watch and if I remember correctly, only fitness apps are on the watch when purchased. The Garmin works a lot better and more consistent than the Pebble did especially for transfers.

Here are the watches that are compatible with NSS:

      https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/5...atible-devices

There is no programming. Once you have the watch, you use ConnectIQ on your phone to get the NSS app from the store. This will pull it down from the Garmin App Store and push it back out to the watch.

On the boat, all you have to do is bring up the NSS app on the watch. It'll automatically connect to the boat.
