Recommendation for flight control tower folded forward 2006 SANTE

    Hi All,

Just getting my new skins from C & S ready for installation . One thing I don’t want to do is smoosh the Bow pillow when I have my tower fold it down. Did folks whip up anything or have something they like to use to hold the tower up off the seats when we flip it forward for storage?

To fit in at my back shop I have to fold my tower forward every time I put it away. So I’d really like to have a good go-to plan when the towers down and stay off the brand new skins LOL.

You could put a 2x6 across the bow to let the tower rest on this board. You could even put some padding or carpet on it for protection. Simple, cheap I had an 06 210 and that tower with 4 speakers on it was a bear to lower and raise.

I've not seen that model tower touch the interior. My 2003 contacts the 2 grab rails on either side and can't drop low enough to touch the interior. I know the 2006 is built slightly different but I'd still think it wouldn't fold far enough to get to the interior.

I have a 2006 and mine rests on the handles as well without touching any vinyl. You can cut some pool noodles to slip onto the handles. That will protect them and give you a little more clearance.

Here is my old Bow cushion. But honestly no clue what the previous owner did because of discoloration where the tower rested

In the meantime it's already been re-skinned with a new color scheme :-)
