Make sure all of your lights are working. Put it in the water and start the engine. Look around thoroughly with a flashlight to make sure everything seems right. If you have a ballast system, start all of the pumps and make sure they're working. Make sure nothing is leaking. Make sure that useless horn works.

If you have a Zerk fitting to grease the rudder port, shoot some grease to it.

Listen carefully for any sounds that aren't familiar. Now's the time to figure out anything that isn't quite right and get it addressed.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll back to the drawing board… I need to replace the transmission fluid, check that elusive Zerk fitting, and check the exhaust too.
By the way I replaced my fuel Water separator at the beginning of last season. I've only put 20 hours since April of last year, should I replace it again?

This is a subject of much debate. Personally, I change the Fuel/Water separator filter with every oil change. It's not about hours with that filter. It's about whether or not water was introduced into the fuel. It could come from the pump, the cans you use to fill it, etc.
