Ideas to protect vinyl when folks are stepping on and off the gunnel?

    Hey everyone,
Looking forward to spring and I just am finishing up my new interior from C and S!

Since I got the new stuff coming in I’m trying to keep foot grime off the interior. I just bought a seat saver pad from seatsaver.com.

But when folks would get in and out of the boat there’s always that permanent grime along the vinyl padding at the gunnel.

I’m not at all OCD, but I have friends that are older and I was thinking maybe just a small rubber backed bathmat so they wouldn’t have any risk of slipping and be comfortable stepping on and in. Also not getting dirt or damage on those vertical pads.

Folks on this forum are typically pretty resourceful and creative. So I was just curious!

I think Nautique Parts has some of the original step pads that go where you are talking about. And I make people take their shoes off.... They're going on a boat for cryin out sideways... lol
Also some old towels on the seats where they step in
