New G23 delivered today... love the boat... a few gremlins...

Depth/Water temp not working... apparently there was some kind of update they tried at delivery that he didn't have the USB drive? for...

Also had a 'circuit fault' on one of the ballast tanks when hitting the 'return to dock'... was told to take a picture if it happens again, and they will replace/warranty... seems like that is something that happens to a lot of folks after reading around on here.

Lastly, no engine cover... was told Nautique shipping without them due to part shortage, and will get soon.

Overall, the boat is great... klller wave with supplemental ballast... Steer assist makes docking a breeze... eager to surf it, and get these issues replaced.

Sorry for the hassles, but yeah, that is a sharp looking boat! Is having no lettering on the side (aside from the metallic emblem near the bow) the new norm? New Nautiques are beyond my pay grade, so maybe I am out of the loop here.

I have been trying to find videos with the new supplemental ballast My new 2022 G23 delivered to the dealer a few weeks ago but we're in the great white north so we will not be in the water until may.

VAMDE123 . Great looking boat. May be a faulty ballast sensor. Nautique has had problems with these. I replaced all of mine on my 2017 G23. Noticed you are from Richmond, VA. Do you do your boating at Lake Anna or SML?

I didn't video it, but on the dealer demo on delivery day we filled all the ballast and ran a few different waves out... (didn't surf because the water was cold)... Really awesome... HUGE wave, but also bumped the speed up and looked like you could dial in a long long wave with plenty of push.... don't see any signs that there won't be enough ballast

I have a 2019 G23 that I believe is currently experiencing a fault in the portside ballast sensor. After fulliy emptying the tank (pump running dry, no water coming out), sensor still registers full. When I try to empty the tank, the sensor registering capacity starts to go down and then fluctuates back up. I ran system diagnostics on the Panoray and as you can see from the attached video the voltage on the portside sensor is registering very high and fluctuates. Trying to get attention of my dealer to order a new sensor, but am told lead time on parts may be a month or more. When I read of similar problems on other, different model (mostly older G23s), it appears an interim workaround may be to disable the sensor and fill the tank manually until it overflows. Can this be done? Can anyone tell me how? With these hard tanks, is there anyway to manually inspect whether the tank contains water? Thanks for any help. Unacceptable to not be able to surf after the crappy Winter/Spring we have had.

Your portside ballast bag is located under your stern side locker. Unscrew the hatch to view bag and you can see whether it is filling and emptying correctly. I just did this this past weekend. on my G23 2017 in which I replaced all my ballast sensors several years ago. No doubt your ballast sensor is fried.

They replaced something on mine (either the pump or the sensor)... had the same issue this weekend. They also replaced the transducer to try and fix depth/temperature, but that didn't fix it... annoying for sure.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

First, let me express my gratitude for having access to a user forum like this and for those fellow SAN owners with more expertise than I who take the time to share their expertise with fellow owners. I did what GMLIII suggested in his response--cleaned out the portside stern storage locker and removed the access hatch and was able to inspect the bag. It was mostly empty even though the sensor said it was full. I was able to manually fill it (no leaks) and empty it turning the pumps off and on with the Panoray display. So, it looks like I have a workaround. In the meantime, my dealer got back to me and we are going to go ahead and order replacements for all the sensors (apparently, the newer sensors are more reliable). Dealer suggested that in the interim, with all bags confirmed as now empty, I load all three simultaneously until the good sensor says 100% and then shut them off. Emptying the bags I reverse the procedure. Unless someone has a better suggestion, this is how I will get back to surfing until the sensors are replaced. Again, my gratitude for those who took the time to help with this issue.

I had a bad sensor on my 2019 SANTE 230. Until I got it replaced:

- To fill: Run the pumps manually until they go to overflow and then stop.

- To empty: Run the pumps manually until they make "that noise" that tells you they're drawing air.

Just launched my 2018 SAN 230 last week and I'm having the same issue. Starboard tank reads 100% although it is empty. When I press the "fill tank"on the panoray, it fills for about 5 seconds and then cuts off, sensing it is full. My fix yesterday was to continue to restart the pump until it is full, visually or watching for overflow.
How do you override this to fill manually?

You're doing what you can for now. Contact your dealer and Nautique will send you three new sensors under warranty. The replacement is easy. They'll also send a file which you'll need to put on a USB drive and plug in under the driver's console to upgrade the firmware. Once that's done, you go into the dealer settings and pick the new sensors.

Well, not super excited… dealer came out to ‘fix’ the gremlins, and were 0/2…. Replacing the triducer did not fix the depth/temp issue, and the circuit fault on the starboard ballast seems even worse now (harder to clear).

Can someone explain what the ‘fill/drain’ manually does? I just kept clearing the fault and trying different ways to drain it (drain all, using a profile, selecting the individual tank)… what does ‘drain manually’ do?
