    Hi SkiLakeCav,

Thank you for the info. I don't see the part listed at NautiqueParts. Where did you get yours at?

      I bought mine here - https://marinepartssource.com/jumper...cp-tac-r121086

The site says the quantity in stock is zero, though I called and the sales rep confirmed PCM carries the part still. This distributor ordered the part from PCM after I placed the order on their site. Delivery was only a couple of weeks. Perhaps you can order from PCM directly and save a few bucks.

SkiLakeCav, good news hopefully this fixes the issue for good.

If we can get them running right then we can get onto more interesting things like cam upgrades and remapping

I just went through this with my 2008 SAN 230. The dealer ended up diagnosing that the Zero off was bad and not allowing the signal through the system. They have a loaner Zero off in it for now until Zero Off makes a new one for us and that fixed the problem.

One interesting item to mention as well. My wires from the bellies speed sensor wheel, or being smashed under the corner of the gas tank in the factory wiring. If you have this Limp mode issue, take a look under your floor and see if your speed sensor wires were tugged under the gas tank in our being smashed. I move mine out of the way zip tied them securely and put some extra tape around them.

I've also gone to the stargazer this year haven't had the issue of the power loss at all anymore. Hard to say what was my cause but, wires being smashed from the chatter when the gas tank bounces going over small waves certainly not a good thing.

I replaced the throttle body, gasket, and Jumper Harness TCP TAC this morning (I already replace the potentiometer). After installation I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes. On startup the engine revved to 2,000RPMs and then settled in at 1,700 and stayed there even when the engine was warmed up. When I engaged the throttle it would rev the engine but would come back to 1,700 at neutral and not go any lower. I shut down the engine, restarted and it went to 600 but would not rev past 600 again. I shut down the engine, started back up and it went to 2,000 then back to 1,700 and stayed there. Shut down, restart, back at 600 and wouldn't rev past that. It literally did this cycle every time shut down and restarted. All gauges looked good and no engine light.

Not sure if this is related but my Perfect Pass would fade out and not be readable while the engine was running. When the engine was off it was readable. My voltage was good. Main ground issue? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

is the the throttle body gasket flipped over? I'm happy to admit I ignored the UP indicator on mine, initially. So yes vacuum link was fixed w flipping gasket over.

Thank you biacs. I did have the gasket flipped over. That fixed the high idle issue. I fired it up and it idled perfectly, revved like it should...then something weird happened. I shut the boat down to test it again. I restarted and it idled at 600RPMs but would not go above that. The cable is moving with the throttle but the flap in the throttle body is not. I stopped and restarted six more times and it did the same thing each time, wouldn't go above 600. I guess I am back where I started. Again any help is greatly appreciated.

So it sounds like it's not getting any throttle input at all. Or it's been kept in limp mode by another fault.

Is the throttle sensor plugged back in to the side of the throttle body?

Yes the cable is plugged back in and I am pretty sure it is not in limp mode because it will not go over 600RPMs.

Limp mode is typically what we referred to as this condition. The engine continues to run but wont pass the idle 650 engine speed. But usually a restart seems to fix the issue for most.

BP22 maybe try popping in the old harness so that you have only changed one thing. Wouldn't it be great if there was a good running boat that you could switch parts with.
I see that you have a new potentiometer, was yours setup correctly, I recall having to take mine apart and flip it around.
