    SN206AUS, I'll try the old harness tomorrow. How did you know your potentiometer was setup incorrectly? How do you take it apart and flip it around? Thank you!

      I think when I got my new one from Nautique Parts the sensor on the assembly or the spring was the wrong way around. Sorry cannot remember exact details I think I had to rotate the sensor 180degs.

        UPDATE:
        Finally got a chance to work on my boat this morning. I took out the new potentiometer and installed the old one (which was a replacement I installed in 2015). First start up, same issue, won't go over 600RPMs. Shut it down, restarted and it worked normally. 10 more starts and it worked normally each time. I am doing this in my driveway so I am cautiously optimistic, but it appears to be fixed. Thank you to everyone for your help!
