This is my first boat with a heater, We took the boat out this past weekend and when I got back in from a set I turned the heater on to warm up and it was…. warm just not blowing real hot, so I figured I’d ask here. Is there anything I can check or is this normal? There isn’t many settings in the link but on/off.

The faster the engine is turning, the hotter the air will be. At idle, there won't be a ton of heat.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Ok, I wasn’t sure if the just having the engine up to operating temp would produce sufficient heat or if the Rpm’s needed to be higher. Like I said just got in from a surf set and started boat back up but yeah we were just idling around or low Rpm’s at that time, not going 20mph or cruising the lake, thank you2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

Yeah, the hot water needs to be pushed through the heater, and that is only really happening at higher speeds.
There is a low-speed mod that can be done to provide additional heat at idle. I believe it adds a pump to the lines that run to the heater. You can probably find that by searching.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I've noticed the same with mine (it's an '07, but I'd imagine they work the same). Also, the alternator doesn't kick out enough juice to run all the ballast pumps and the heater fan at the same time, muy to my daughter's disappointment.

A simple inline pump to circulate the water while at idle does wonders! I did that a few years ago and it works great! Just don't forget to turn it off when not needed. I just put a red LED switch down by where the ignition kill switch is on my 08 SAN.

Next question… is there a way to have this pump turn on and off with heater? So I don’t have to run a separate switch or forget to turn it off.2009 Super Air Nautique 210 TE

You should be able to wire the pump right into the heater wiring. I wouldn't think that would be too difficult.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I don't know of this is still applicable. But it might help as you may want to consider a low idle wye as compared to a circulation pump.

It is an option, but I just have never had great luck with those Y's. The pump is a pretty easy install - just place inline and wire it up - boom, heat at idle... Maybe others have had good luck with them...
