Water coming in through bilge outlet when boat is weighed down

I have a 2007 Nautique SV-211 and when the boat is weighed down I believe that the bilge outlet hole is below the water line while going surfing speed, and thus filling up the bilge with water.

I am considering putting a one-way valve inline of the bilge hose to prevent this from happening, but want to be careful. Has anyone ever encountered this and if so what was your solution?

That's possible I suppose, but it is much more likely that the water is coming in between the deck and the hull at the meeting point. From the factory, this was not sealed well. That is a much more common area for water intrusion on those boats. I suggest pulling the rubrail and using some 5200 or similar to seal the deck to the hull. I bet that fixes your problem.

I don't think mine sits that low. If it ever warms up, I'll try to pay attention to that. Regardless, I do not have that issue.
