I took my 2005 SV-211 out today after being winterized for the last 5 months. Both the temp and fuel gauges were non responsive. Both were working prior to be winterized. I checked behind the dash to make sure all connections were in place. Any ideas where else I might check? Thanks!

I have had the same issues with those guages. Definitley could be the gateway, i believe you have the pitot tubes running into it so that can cause problems. But…There are also multiple connections that could be causing the issue. The guages are daisy chained so all of the plugs carry the same information. You can check the non functioning guages in a known functioning position in the chain. I was able to isolate one that was not working and found the loose connection that way. Gateway turned out to be fine, but i do have the paddlewheel as opposed to the pitots so i was able to eliminate that nightmare of a possibility.

What ryan said above... Daisy chain easy to check. Hopefully it's not another one of the bad Gateway boxes that Nautique won't let Faria fix or rebuild.. The replacement analog system (imo) is sub par and does not even match with the boat. I am Having a gateway reverse engineered that will plug into the test port, and then feed through an NMEA backbone to a multi-function display... Eventually... Best of luck with the troubleshooting.

I have a spare gateway box, but not 100% sure it works. I sent it to NautiqueJeff for his 226 renovation, and he seems to think it worked, but also sent it to another user here, and it doesn't fix his issue. Its on its way back to me now, and when I get my boat out of storage I can check it for sure. Might be a few weeks till that happens though.

Thanks Stevemo14! I will take you up on your offer for the Gateway loan. I will also make sure that the gateway is returned in a Pelican flight case for future loans to help protect it.

I don’t know how to link it but TechBeer posted a YouTube video on how to rebuild your inop gauges. I have an inop fuel gauge and I ordered the parts to rebuild and it cost around $60. It doesn’t look terribly difficult. Too bad Faria doesn’t do the rebuilds anymore…. It would be very simple for them to do it. Hope this helps.

SG, That is an absolute bookmark for sure. I am not sure my soldering skills are up to the task but if the gauge is dead what's to lose?

I rebuilt the fuel gauge and then lost the speedo, tach, water temp, oil pressure. I went to the Gateway and it had water in it and it was corroded inside and on terminals so it had been leaking for a while. I went with the analog conversion kit from: https://skiboatpartsonline.com/Inboa...ft-TRD-2001-CC
