    GS24 Ballst Pressure Sensor Replacement

My 2021 GS24 is reading 80% full on the port ballast bag but it is empty. The dealer says it's a bad pressure sensor. They gave me the replacement sensor and a brief description of how to replace it. I have removed all access panels to the bag and I cannot find the sensor. Does anyone on here have any experience working on this system? If so, can you tell me where to locate the sensor?

    Thanks for the help.

OHLNautique I wish I could help but I got my dealer to replace all three. It is not a project for a weekend boat owner repairman. Even the dealer said they are a PITA to change. Good luck and hope you can locate them

PM me, I just went through the identical. I'll try to get a post up this week for the community. I found an easy way to do this IMO...
Engineers should have to work on their own designs.

Thanks for the responses but I got it replaced. For anyone that runs across this thread in the future, the sensor is located in the very rear of the bilge in a hole on both sides. You cannot see it but you can follow the fill hose to feel it. To replace the sensor: Remove both of the divider panels between the engine and storage compartment. Unscrew the wire lead then use a 15/16 deep well socket with a swivel joint to loosen the sensor. I then backed it out by hand and screwed the new one in by hand. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! Once I had it hand tight I put the socket back on and just barely tightened a little more. Re-attach the wire lead.

It's a fairly easy job, just hard to get to. If had to do it again it would take me about 30 minutes. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.

Thanks for this info. I'm having the same issue with our G23. I think I'll be able to get replacement sensors from our dealer. Hopefully I can get them changed out.
