I bought an 06 sv211 last year and it has been running fine. A few weeks ago it lost power while pulling a skier and sounded terrible...like a muscle car instead of a race car. I took it to a mechanic who said I burned up 2 valves which he replaced. Went skiing yesterday and after pulling a few skiers it started knocking real bad when I shut down. The thermometer was reading about 180 and there was a lot of exhaust. Any thoughts on what is causing the knocking?

That temp is a little high. Not terrible though. I would suggest hooking the engine up to a DIACOM and getting the full story there. That's probably the best way to determine what's going on. Thanks - turns out it the impeller was damaged. Replaced it spent yesterday on the water - temp never got above 175.Comment
