Board hack took a vicious gnarl out of the transom vent and left a fairly descent scar down the gel coat below. I didn’t see but one post as I was searching a fix. Member Jesutton3 did a great write up and was very helpful in his work around.

I believe pre ’16 G’s had a one piece chrome transom vent, and from ’16 up, Nautique went to a screw on plate covered by 3d sticker. Jesutton3 opted to go with the pre-chrome replacement on both sides vs replacing the sticker. I ordered the chrome one piece by mistake, and considered following the same route, because she is a big heavy beast of beauty, but I decided to remain stock original.
The Nautique Parts crew are incredible in their service and dedication, and they are doing an amazing job over there. No problems what so ever on issuing a replacement for the correct part.

The sticker is a beast to remove, and if I had all day with a heat gun and any patience at all, I may have been able to get the sticker off intact, but very unlikely.
The following picture illustrate the story if you ever find yourself in the same situation of need…

Heat

13 Screws & a mess of carnage to deal with

Taped off the LED light strip inside, and a little fresh flat black paint

Fresh backing plate with adhesive removed

Careful placement, you only get one shot. On a do over I would of gone up and left 1/16". There is just a small over hang. Possible point of snag, probably not, we'll see.
