    depth finder on 2006 SAN 211 ??

Recently purchased 6006 SAN sv211. There is a depth finder on the gauges which does not seem to be working correctly. I do not see a transponder on the boat that would pick up the signal for the gauge. Is this transponder built into the hull? Not sure if there is even a depth finder on this boat. Any advice is much appreciated. TY

If it's like my '07 (I'd guess it is), there is a transducer glassed into the hull. Mine is located near the plug and the paddle wheel.

Also, before NautiqueJeff chimes in, the SV211 isn't considered a Super Air Nautique.

What I've learned is that the faria integrated depth sounders are pretty marginal....low power vs say an aftermarket dedicated brand. Mine works OK in generally shallower waters and is very sensitive to the bottom. Mucky bottoms get poor results. When I get to a lake with a rocky bottom, works much better. Also...speed matters. Slower = better results.
