Sherwood vs DJ Water Pump for 1996 Sport Nautique

I’m looking at a new raw water pump for my 1995 Sport Nautique (EFI). I see two options. An aftermarket DJ pump and the original Sherwood pump (Pleasurecraft 302 351 RA057007). Large differences in prices. Do I need to be concerned with which I purchase? Do you have experience with one or the other?

The cooling system is TOO IMPORTANT. If this was MY boat, I would go with the Sherwood pump and save ca$h on less critical parts.

The DJ Pumps, however, do look well built and several folks report good success with the DJ alternative to OEM.
