I have a 2022 G23 with 450 and my temp will slowly start to raise if I have the boat running over 3800RPM. Full Standard Ballast, 50% supplemental ballast. I find the boat works harder on Port side (steering is more difficult). I have 80 hrs and had the impeller changed at 55hrs. I find normal temp is around 170, but she will get to 180 after 10 minutes or so of Surfing. Usually the rider drops/falls, and the temp falls to 167. Not sure if its just this boat, or that it is working harder since I have the supplemental ballast and the cooling system cannot keep up. Water temp here in FL is around 85.

I found an interesting Moomba thread on engine temps. I will need to pay attention to what temp I am running at going forward, gas - check, subs working - check, speed set - check, temperature - ummm?
I did order a temperature gun just to mess around with, $20-$30 range, went with a Klein, always seem good quality stuff, they are probably all made by the same place, different label.

That is a completely fine operating temp especially under load. Do not be worried until you start to see temps above 200. Not to mention being in FL doesn't help.
