Distributor on ex343 Cat motor.

Hey fellow CC’ers does anyone which way the distributor should be facing I have attached a picture of how my motor builder put mine on and I think it’s 180° off. The pic is facing the stern and the open (ignition) is facing right. The reason I ask is the ignition wire doesn’t make it to the coil. Please help.

That is the direction the distributor on my EX343 faces.
