    Fuel sending unit vs Gauge

I have a 2006 sv 22 sante. The fuel gauge is not registering the amount of fuel in the tank. The low fuel warning light does come on though.
I pulled the sending unit. Slid the float up and down and the gauge did not move. If i put the slide all the way to the bottom the low fuel warning light did come on.
I am wondering if the sending unit is bad or the gauge. Any help on this mater would be appreciated. !!!

Basically yes it's behaving as if the unit is bad. Check out this video at a 1:30. Set your multimeter to 200 ohms. And test for resistance sliding the float up and down

I think it's safe to assume if any of these sending units are acting up there probably bad and could easily be replaced
