    Approaching 1,000 hours

Hi, my 2009 Sante 210 is approaching 1000 hours. Anything I should check on, things to look out for or recommended preventative maintenance?

Congrats on your milestone. Hopefully you've had the honor of putting most/all of them on yourself.

If you're looking for more than a check list, I wouldn't hurt to get a second set of eyes on the boat and ask someone to critique the boat for you. Doesn't need to be a dealer and maybe a fellow boater you trust to give you honest advice would be better. I primarily boat in 4 different boats, 3 that are not mine. In each of them I see things that could use a look at or would put on the upgrade list if the boat were mine. You might be surprised what you hear if you're open to hearing about it. Maybe its some wiring, a missing bolt, a gauge that doesn't work all the time or something deeper you can't see the forest from the trees on. I'll use a version of this when I'm flipping a boat or selling a boat I've owned for a long time. It can be somewhat amazing the things someone else may see or notice that you somehow manage to miss.

Then again if you're looking for a punch list of maintenance items you could go to your maintenance manual and see what they recommend if you're just looking for fluid changes and stuff..... Most likely you'll be directed to inspect/change all the fluids, belts, tensioners, cables, rudder box, hoses, filters, ballast impellers, raw water impeller and very importantly the alignment as well as the strut bearings. Hmmmmm, With the exception of the alignment this sounds a lot like my winterization check list.

I just bought two Ski Nautiques with nearly 1,000 hours on them. That number of hours doesn't concern me in the least. As long as you have maintained your boat well, just follow the recommendations in the manual and keep on rocking. bturner's ideas above are great too.
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

The hour meter will probably stop at 999.9 . You will have to add a separate hour meter because there is no fix for the original gauge.

These motors can easily go close to 2000 hours if well maintained. As Nautique Hunter says above, Your hours will probably stop at 999.9
If you are near your dealer, they 'should' help you out if you take it to them and they can read the hours for you of your ECM. Seems as 2008 into 2009, either correct craft or Faria did not correctly design the Gateway that supplies the gauges. I went through this several times, going all the way to Ron Nace from Nautique and a supposed high level individual at Faria. Nautique says Faria made the mistake of only allowing it to go to 999.9, while Faria insists that Nautique spec'd it that way. Whatever the truth is, apparently Nautique will not allow Faria to even work on these even at customer expense (I tried).
Enjoy that boat and keep on goin - it will last you a long time with good maintenance.

Thank you for this advice. Having a fellow enthusiast is a great idea. I will take another look at the maintenance manual and your winterization checklist.

+1 for putting some eyeballs on your alignment, engine mournts. strut packing, shaft runout inspection, rudder box check, cutlass bearing check. Thats where my 1600 hour 1997 Ski Natuique was starting to show signs of needing some R&R when I sold it for our 206.

1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)

I know it's a 5.7; I think Excaliber? recently got new exhaust manifolds but otherwise has been pretty rock solid tug.

My 2012 Nautique 200 with PCM EX343 5.7L is well over 2k and going strong. If well maintained, modern engines can go 4-5k plus no problem.
