Due to some giant waves created by others, my boat slammed hard on the side of the dock. Created some cracks in the gel coat that looks like spider web. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do? Will it keep cracking? Am I S.O.L. and need to take it to a body shop?

Depends how much you want to work on your own stuff.
You can grind them out, fill them with new gelcoat, sand, and buff. If the crack is big, it can be a good bit of work.
There are youtube videos out there that show the process.
You can order the gelcoat from NautiqueParts.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.
If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!

Gelcoat is an art, but with patience and a little practice it's definitely doable. I prefer TotalBoat Marine over all the other products I've used over the years, others may have found something that works better for them. Sets up fast and hard, hard to screw it up. The color matching is the technical part for sure. If you don't get it right the 1st time you start over, that's where the patience comes in. Like Jeff said there are some excellent Youtube is our friend videos (and Nautique Parts) along with some good tech articles out there. Don't be afraid to try it, if you own a boat long enough you will want to pick up the skill.
Good luck, let us know what you end up doing, pictures always tell a good story.
