Ballast Draining Issue on My 2020 GS22 with the Pro Ballast Option ….

I’m having some weird ballast issues on my 2020 GS22 with the Pro Ballast option. While my tanks fill normally and roughly in line with the on-screen fill indicators (they start dumping water via the thru-hull vents when they hit 100%), empyting them is a different matter. The belly ballast tank empties in line with the on-screen indicator, but both the Port & Starbord tanks take substantially longer.

To confirm this, I stop the pumps when I’m still on the water as soon as the screen shows “0%” on-screen. Then I put the boat on the hoist and hit the “Drain” button and Port and Starbord tanks take another 7-9 minutes to completely empty!

    Any thoughts?

Faulty ballast sensors. Very common problem on these boats. When they are faulty many times they read 0% water in the tanks when in reality there is still water in the tanks

Thanks GML, that’s what I had suspected, but the weird thing for me is that the sensors work perfectly when filling up (the 100% full indicator happens at the same time that I get the over-run from the bags), but sensors seem off when emptying ….
