I pulled my boat up to the dock after a fairly short surf session to drop off some people and when I pushed the start button nothing happened except the check engine light came on. I got the two yellow lights on like normal and everything else works normally. Any ideas? I have replaced the gateway box and gauges with analog so I don’t have any ECM messages. All the gauge readings were in the normal range. The engine is the ZR6. Starter maybe?

Well, I’m officially an idiot. The throttle must have gotten bumped or it wasn’t in neutral when I shut it off. I should have known to check that since I had to wiggle the throttle on my old Nautique to find neutral.

LOL, been there!
That mistake ruined a weekend with a fishing boat I used to own. I got about halfway home when the thought popped into my head, so I pulled over on the side of the highway, jiggled the shifter, and it cranked right over. After that, I replaced the neutral safety switch.
I'm glad it was a cheap and easy fix!
