    Rear Seat Replacement - G23

Has anyone replaced or updated their rear middle seat on their first or second gen G23?

I have a 2016 with the seadeck step that's just an island middle of the seat. Inevitably people step on the seat edge and the vinyl has begun to crack.
Obviously the easiest solution is to re-skin the seat.
But I'd like prefer to update to the newer seat with the seadeck all the way to the edge.
Or just eliminate the vinyl all together (no one ever sits here) and just remake with a whole pad of seadeck.

Inserted pics to show the two styles.
Has anyone done something like this?

ohh, I do like that 1st option. We have the smaller insert, and it's almost annoying enough that folks step around it. Too small of target, lol.
Let us know what you come up with Kmayotte, I think it's going to 'spensive Lucy...

Kmayotte I have a 2017 G23 with middle Seadek like your boat. I replaced the entire seat skin under warranty due to hinge which tore the seat vinyl . I don't know why Nautique would not sell you the more modern seat back step skin. I would think it would fit fine.

I think the entire seat & foam would be different. I'd need at least the entire top square, not just the skin. Likely would be able to attain it from Nautique but like Scooter G said, afraid of the price LOL. Guessing $600-$1000

I priced a bow filler cushion from NP $725 plus shipping (still on the fence with that one). That is for the whole meal deal, so you might be in the ball park. Shoot them an email, they are super good about getting back.

Don't forget to mention Planet Nautique for the 10% carrot. That was more of a reminder to me since I always space it.

Kmayotte $1,000.00 is probably not far off considering the seat step is built in and is part of the seat skin.

I'm not sure if having the seadek all the way to the end would help much. Half the people who get on my boat just step on the seat, wihtout even thinking about stepping on the seadek. Only once I show them that it's there for a reason, they start using it properly

LOL. I have a 211 with a full walk-through, and I have had folks avoid the walk-through and walk across the vinyl of the sun pad.

Yup I feel this pain as well. The real issue is most people need to take TWO steps on that seat so first one is on the seadeck (right foot) and then they take a second step (left foot) on the edge of the seat which is where the vinyl has weakened. Hence my alternative idea to have a full pad covered in all seadeak.

Easy to build, but hard to make out of the right materials so it looks factory.

I have a walkthrough with gatorstep on my Supra, same deal, people step on the seats.
When I ask why They tell me the gatorstep is hot.

Vinyl started cracking in that spot on our 2016 G23 just this season. I like the all seadek idea.

Just showed up last weekend, the mystery tare. Nobody ever knows how it happened, so I don't ask. I'll have my upholstery wizard come out next week, see what kind of magic he can do. In the mean time, looks like I need to find where I hid that roll of white duct tape from myself...
