2000 Nautique Stumbles at Acceleration

Hi. New to forum. Hope I am in the right place. A friend has asked me to look at his 2000 Nautique, 4 barrel Holley, I believe it is a 351, which is experiencing stumble and stall at acceleration. I usually work on outboards but told him I would take a look.
Before I go, can anyone coach me on what to look for first? Fuel filter, fuel pump, etc.,

Stumble or “bog” on acceleration would lead me to the carburetor accelerator pump circuit. Do a YouTube search for “summit Holley carb accelerator pump adjustment” and watch the video.
