    GS20 Maintenance

    I have a few questions about maintenance of a 2017 GS20 with a ZR4.

    1. Regarding checking transmission fluid. On page 30 of the Owners Manual it states "The fluid level must be checked in one of the following conditions: A. Engine/Transmission is cold; B. Engine/Transmission has been shut off for at least 2 minutes to allow fluid to drain back." But on page 51 under footnote 2 it states "80 Series PCM 1:1, 1.23:1 and all other transmission fluid levels are checked at operating temperature and immediately after shutdown of the engine." What is the correct way?

    2. V-Drive oil. The manual for the 2017 GS20 states that all PCM Power-Plus “V” Drive transmissions are designed to be ‘Maintenance Free’. Fluid should only be changed if evidence of contamination is present. However, for 2018 forward the manual states "The V-Drive gear oil must be changed once a year or every 300 hours of use." As far as I know, the v-drive didn't change, but the PCM part number for the gear oil changed from R190250 to R190251. Should I be changing my gear oil every year? Or is this only if you use R190251? Any insight would be helpful.

    3. Spark plugs. The manual only recommends cleaning and inspecting. No mention of a recommended replacement interval. Is there a recommended number of hours that I should replacement my plugs?

    Thanks in advance.

dealer recommended changing the spark plugs at 300hours. I didn't argue or question it seemed reasonable. Don't know on other 2 questions

Thank you gonefishin5555. Does anyone else have anything else to add?
